Description

Version A, the initial version, of my part of an art trade with the gorgeous chen-path ! She wanted to see her OC Maiilys in “my style“. I still make things up as I go along in the "style“-department, BUT! I endorsed myself in research and started and it was so. MUCH. FUN. I couldn't stop. So I hope you like how she turned out, because I did, and I reused that for another pic and it would be really awkward if you didn't

So while I dug around for reference and ideas, I remembered once reading that Maiilys spent a good amount of time in Alabasta after the war, because this King actually supported her research and she had two perfect guinea pigs to experiment with! And this scene presented itself before my inner eye. I– *fidget* I hope it's in character ...

You have no idea how extremly in character this is. And how much this made me laugh yesterday evening xD I think I even woke up my mum... ehhh. Well. I adore this artwork, really, my dear. You even included the scar on her cheek, and the puffy cheeks/age marks and and and ARGH. I really do adore it, the idea, the way you've drawn her(yes, your style is quite unique. and awesome ^^), the idea... everything.
